Risk Taker Interview

Olga

Last Friday Gap and I carried out our survey on George St. It was our first survey homework because we started the course on the second week unlike the rest of the group.

Our Survey was about five questions. Our first surveyed were for two young couples sitting in the park, one couple were delighting the famous ice creams on George St. called "Rob Roy." They collaborated very well, they were very kind so we felt motivated to carry on with our homework therefore we decided to keep walking on George St. on direction to the Octagon. On our way we were intercepting people, just few persons didn't want to answer our survey.

Only we had a strange interview. It was with two young guys, they looked a quite relaxed, they were siting in a bench making some cigarettes so Gap felt a bit unsafe and he didn't want to interviewing them but I said to him, Why not!?, Come on! New Zealand is the safest place in the world so no worries, just we can try it. We got the survey with the guys, everything was well, obviously they weren't so friendly but also they weren't rude with us.

We Stopped in a Sushi Shop called "Skyline" we got two interviews there from two workers, we decided to take the interviews because the shop was very quite.

In total we got 10 interviews, we found just young people at that time. Around the 90% of the interviewed are "Risk takers." The majority would like to try risk sports mainly parachute jumping. I was quite surprise even they are young people and they like to be on risk situations many times. They wouldn't like to travel in a big cities (Beijing, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, etc.) alone and also they don't like to try to meet someone on a dating site.

I general, I think we really had good experience, we enjoy it and the principal thing, we got our goal.

risk taker

on the last Friday 22 July, Miki and I we went to the George
St  second times to interview Kiwis about "risk taker". It was a good experience for us to interview and speak to them in English. We met maybe 17 people but unfortunately, only 10 of them helped us to do the interview and the others were very busy or don't want to talk. The our Qs were not too difficult. They were five different Qs and four similar answers for each question
-  Yes no worries / Sometimes / occasionally / Never -.

The most surprising question for me in the interview was the last question ( Do you ever drive over 100 Kilometers per hour? ) and most of them said -Yes or Sometimes- and no one said Never. The most Kiwis are risk taker.^^

The scary thing that happened to us in the last interview, when we asked two persons waiting for a bus. They didn't understand us and they were laughing. When I spoke to one of them " we are studying about a risk taker" he asked me: what does it mean risk? and the other one said : oh, do you mean breathing !! What ?!.

Finally, we realized that they were drunks and drinking a beer. We felt a bit scary in that time.

A survey about taking risk

A survey about taking risk was done on Friday afternoon. This was the second survey I’ve ever done. Like the last one, I did the survey by asking the people walking along George Street.

This time, Riku and I were in a group. In class, we created five questions - the topic was “Are you a risk taker?” Two of these questions were about walking on the road; the third one was about relationships; the fourth one was about travelling; and the last one was about dangerous sports or activities.

There were ten people who answered my questions. For the first two questions, the positive and the negative answers were half and half. So l could find that half of them might be a risk taker when they were walking on the road, and another half might be not. For the next question about relationships, seven people said that they wouldn’t like to go out with someone they had met online. Only one person chose the answer A – of course. And then, there were seven positive answers for the question about going on a holiday on your own. These meant that most people might be a risk taker on travelling. Finally, the last one, I thought, was the most interesting question. I also got some further information from the answers of these question, which was if you have ever done any dangerous sports or activities. Six people said that they had ever done some dangerous sports or activities, such as rugby, bungee jumping, sky diving, and adrenaline forest, etc. An old lady said that she had used to do mountain climbing many times when she was young. Another middle-aged man said that he had chased a tornado when he was travelling in a group in the US last year.

By chatting with these people, I found out that many people were likely to be a risk taker, or they used to be a risk taker.

This is a brilliant opportunity to increase my self-confidence because if I don't have confidence, I won't receive information from unfamiliar people.Luckily, I experienced lots of lovely people who are so pleased to answer questions. According to the result of the survey of public people in Dunedin, most people prefer to avoid risky issues or situations more than face the risky items. for example at this moment, they are concerning about excessive sugar intake. Therefore, They restrict a number of daily sugar intake. Moreover, All people never communicate with unfamiliar people on dating site because of dangerous people and unbelievable information but they would like to talk by face to face. On the other hand almost people did not wait for the green light when they are crossing the road because of waste of time. By the way they usually make sure that on the right and the left side of the road are available to cross. Finally, unforgettable person is my partner, Olega who tough me about extraordinary skills which I cannot study in ordinary sujects.

RISK TAKER

RISK TAKER INTERVIEW

On Friday afternoon, My friends and I went to George street. We got an assignment from our teacher Mr. David to ask some people about " Are they a Risk Taker or not ?". I was with Momoko and it was an honor to be her partner. We started asking a girl near Knox church, some couple, some men and women, and old men.  They were pleasant to help us with the interview, some people ignored us because they were busy though. we asked five questions about it. According to their answers, i concluded that most of them are Risk taker. Even though, they think they aren't. Some of them have ever done risky outdoor activities such as hiking, skiing cross countries, and etc. Even, there was a girl who has ever swum in the ocean on winter's. I was shocked by then and said " what a girl", i was unbelievable. It was great experience to do activity like this, I got lots of  learning from it. Arigatou gozaimasu

Second interview

Last Friday,I did interview about risk taking with Frangky at the George St. That time was second time for me. So I felt doing the interview was easier than before time. Finally, I could ask 10 people. I could catch people easily. Because the questions might be more interesting than before. Also, I felt again young people were more kind than old people.
I prepared a question which have you ever swum in the ocean in winter. And 9 people answered yes. The next day,I asked this question to my host mother. And then she said yes. I was surprised !! Probably  Frangky was surprised too.I'm sure Kiwi are crazy people...

A interview

I and Sophie surveyed about risks in the George St. We made 5 questions before we asked some people such as "Would you go on a holiday abroad on your own?". We asked 19 people actually and then this survey seemed lots of people are a risk taker about 70%. However, the questions, which is "Do you think you would go out with someone you had met online?, is totally a different answer from the others. 90% people said No. This is very interesting because I would say No neither. I felt that it was much easier than before as I was doing, but I thought that my English was not enough still. Sometimes I could not understand what they were saying. It remaind me have to study English  more and more harder.

Never again

Recently, I played with my friends until midnight . We were watching a horror movie at a friend's house late into the night. So I arrived my house at three o'clock in the morning. And then I went in my bed. But  unfortunately, I couldn't sleep because of  the horror movie. At that time, surprisingly, I got paralysis. This is for the first time and so scary.I do not want to ever again experience it.

However, I was wondering that my wife was hesitated to kiss me while we were taking that. I totally did not understand what she has done. After the wedding, I saspected that she really want to marry me. Surprigingly, she just wanted to marry me for all of my money. That was what all she needed.
