’’A Christmas Carol’’ Book review

A Christmas Carol’s Book Review

This story was written by Charles (John Huffam) Dickens,
who is one of the most famous writers.
Before the story, the book introduced Dicken’s life.
You could know his family was poor and he had many brothers and sisters. Also, he was often ill when he was a child, and his family moved many times so he didn’t have a proper (=correct) school education. But he read a lot of books on his own.
His books were born from his back ground and experience a lot.
It is easy to imagine that you are in London at the beginning of the 19th century. Each page has some glossaries to understand words and stories, so it's easy to follow the story. Even if you already knew those words, you can check that you really understand them or not.
Another point is the book comes with an audio CD so you can practice your pronunciation. This CD’s speaking speed is faster than other pre-intermediate or more high level than I read before, so good for a challenge to achieve some faster-pace reading.
If you are interested in happy endings, fantasy, Christmas stories, and practicing your pronunciation, this book is a good one to read.

Thank you for reading
Miki
