A survey about taking risk was
done on Friday afternoon. This was the second survey I’ve ever done. Like the
last one, I did the survey by asking the people walking along George Street.
This time, Riku and I were in a
group. In class, we created five questions - the topic was “Are you a risk
taker?” Two of these questions were about walking on the road; the third one
was about relationships; the fourth one was about travelling; and the last one
was about dangerous sports or activities.
There were ten people who
answered my questions. For the first two questions, the positive and the
negative answers were half and half. So l could find that half of them might be
a risk taker when they were walking on the road, and another half might be not.
For the next question about relationships, seven people said that they wouldn’t
like to go out with someone they had met online. Only one person chose the
answer A – of course. And then, there were seven positive answers for the
question about going on a holiday on your own. These meant that most people
might be a risk taker on travelling. Finally, the last one, I thought, was the
most interesting question. I also got some further information from the answers
of these question, which was if you have ever done any dangerous sports or
activities. Six people said that they had ever done some dangerous sports or
activities, such as rugby, bungee jumping, sky diving, and adrenaline forest, etc.
An old lady said that she had used to do mountain climbing many times when she
was young. Another middle-aged man said that he had chased a tornado when he was
travelling in a group in the US last year.
By chatting with these people, I found
out that many people were likely to be a risk taker, or they used to be a risk
taker.
you are a good observer.
